OUR HISTORY
Florina Football Club originated in 1976 with players originating from Northern Greece. In their first match, the strips that is best described as a white bonds tops with numbers written in permanent marker on the back were laughed at by Wanneroo had ended up winning that match 11-1 making the opponents walk away with their tails between their legs. In the first season they won the division and amassed over 100 goals and conceded less than a handful.Unfortunately, the team only lasting 7 seasons folded due to work and family commitments by the majority of the side.
PRESENT DAY
Reformed in 2012, the team has started again with players from all over the world and in true spirit of friendship and dedication to each other is shown every Sunday out on the park. After a successful first 2 seasons being promoted both years the new generation has begun to replicate the success of the founders of the club from the 70’s and 80’s. As the club has gone from strength to strength 2014 saw the forming of a Women’s team, which has added to the amazing atmosphere at the club as both teams support each other both on and off the park!
